Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, platforms, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by WealthCo Inc. and its group of companies, including subsidiaries and affiliated corporate entities (“WealthCo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, discontinue use of the Services immediately.

1. Scope of Services

WealthCo operates across three primary business lines:

  • Insurance (life, health, group benefits, and other regulated products)

  • Asset Management (portfolio management, investment advisory, discretionary management)

  • Financial, Estate, and Retirement Planning

Certain services may be subject to additional agreements, disclosures, or regulatory requirements. Where a conflict exists, the more specific agreement will prevail.

2. Eligibility

By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you:

  • Are of legal age of majority in your jurisdiction

  • Have legal capacity to enter binding contracts

  • Will use the Services for lawful purposes

3. No Professional Advice Without Formal Engagement

Content made available through the Services—including articles, tools, calculators, or educational materials—is general information only.

Personalized insurance, investment, tax, or planning advice is only provided after:

  • You enter a formal written engagement with WealthCo or one of its regulated entities, and

  • All required disclosures, onboarding, and compliance steps have been completed.

4. Canadian Insurance & Regulatory Disclosures

WealthCo and its licensed professionals comply with all applicable Canadian laws, including:

  • Provincial Insurance Acts & Regulations

  • Life and Health Insurance Council rules (where applicable)

  • Canadian securities laws and regulations

  • MFDA/CIRO requirements (if applicable)

  • Anti–Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) obligations

  • Privacy laws under PIPEDA and provincial privacy statutes

Insurance Products

Insurance services may be offered through licensed representatives acting as agents of specific insurance carriers. WealthCo may:

  • Receive compensation in the form of commissions or fees from insurers

  • Disclose compensation or potential conflicts of interest as required by law

  • Offer products from a curated list of insurers, not necessarily all insurers available in the market

You will receive all required policy documentation, disclosures, and insurance summaries directly from the licensed agent or insurer.

Investment & Asset Management Services

Investment advisory and portfolio management services are offered only through registered entities and individuals. All recommendations follow:

  • KYC/KYP requirements

  • Suitability and appropriateness assessments

  • Provincial securities laws

5. Accuracy of Information

WealthCo strives to maintain accurate and current information but does not guarantee the completeness or reliability of content published through the Services.

6. User Accounts & Security

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

7. Privacy & Data Use

Use of our Services is governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how personal information (including insurance, financial, and personal profile data) is collected, used, and protected.

8. Electronic Communications

By using the Services, you consent to receive electronic communications related to your account, disclosures, updates, and regulatory documents.

Opt-out mechanisms are available where permitted by law.

9. E-Signature Consent

By using our Services and providing consent electronically, you agree to the use of electronic signatures (“e-signatures”) and electronic delivery of documents under applicable laws, including Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and provincial e-commerce legislation.

Scope of Consent

Your e-signature may be used for:

  • Insurance applications

  • Investment account documentation

  • Financial planning agreements

  • Regulatory disclosures

  • Client onboarding forms

  • Consent forms or acknowledgments

Legal Effect

Electronic signatures executed through our digital systems have the same legal validity and enforceability as handwritten signatures, unless a specific document or regulatory body requires otherwise.

Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your e-signature consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal may impact our ability to deliver services or complete transactions electronically.

10. Third-Party Services & Links

The Services may contain links or integrations with external platforms. WealthCo is not responsible for their content, practices, or security.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, intellectual property, and materials provided through the Services are owned or licensed by WealthCo. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

12. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or disruptive activities, including attempts to breach security, reverse-engineer systems, or misuse data.

13. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” WealthCo makes no warranties regarding:

  • Continuous operation

  • Absence of errors

  • Accuracy of content

  • Suitability for specific purposes

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WealthCo shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities

  • Damages arising from reliance on general information

  • Unauthorized access to data or accounts

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid (if any) for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold WealthCo harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada, unless otherwise required by local securities or insurance regulators.

17. Termination

WealthCo may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time. Sections related to intellectual property, liability, and indemnification survive termination.

18. Changes to Terms

WealthCo may update these Terms periodically. Updates are effective upon posting. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance.
