Associate, Insurance and Estate Planning

As the Insurance & Estate Planning Associate, your key focus will be developing life insurance sales in collaboration with integrated advisory partners (accounting firms) and their clients. The Associate will have a passion for the life insurance industry specifically as it relates to both financial and advanced planning concepts. The role reports to the VP, Sales. Working in a team environment, you will support the company’s goals and objective by:

  • Developing insurance sales solutions (Life & Living Benefits)
  • Identifying, developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to enhance salesopportunities
  • Accountable to high level of client service with a focus on building and maintainingstrong clientRelationships
  • Developing and maintaining centers of influence to advance WealthCo’s businessmodel
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with the firm’s financial advisors and theirclients in order to ensure all service requirements are met
  • Creating customized client presentations and marketing strategies
  • Participating as a key player in the Integrated Advisory partners’ meetings with thefirm’s financial advisors, their clients and various other professional advisors
  • Preparing life insurance and living benefits quotes based on client needs, rates and coverages
  • Regular travel will be required Successful candidates will require:
  • College and/or University degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in life insurance sales; appropriate combination ofeducation and experience will be considered
  • Life and Accident, and Sickness licenses in good standing; familiarity with both lifeinsurance and living benefit concepts
  • CFP and CLU designations would be considered an asset

Associate Advisor

The key focus of an Associate Advisor at WealthCo is to support Financial Advisors and assist the financial planning team in developing and implementing financial plans for individuals, business owners and corporate executives and professionals. This role reports to the Senior Financial Advisor.

  • You will support the company’s goals through these key accountabilities:
  • Full ownership/accountability for implementation of financial plans including required paperwork.
  • Data input for financial plans including assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance, tax information, and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with and support°Integrated Advisory partners’°experience.
  • Responsible to ensure effective communication between clients and other professionals (i.e.,accountants,internal team).
  • Act as a liaison between clients & advisors;°prepare client letters°and°assist°with client correspondence.
  • Attend client’s meetings with Sr. Advisor/Portfolio Manager, as requested.

Successful candidates will require:

  • College/University degree or equivalent
  • Enrolled in the CFP program or willingness to enroll
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a bank or other financial institution.
  • Knowledge of tax, investment strategies, insurance, pension plans and real estate an asset.
  • Proactive – you take the initiative to ask, learn, and make things happen.
  • Ability to handle multiple project and requests, prioritize, and respond quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

HR/Payroll Administrator

As the HR/Payroll Administrator, your key focus will be in support of the recruitment process, ensuring systems are maintained and updated to support our people in all aspects of their employment journey; through Onboarding, Performance Acceleration and Offboarding, as well as the oversight of the day-to-day human resources administrative functions and benefits for the Firm, with the goal of ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This role reports to the Corporate Operations Manager. 

Working in a team environment, you will support the company’s goals and objective by:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of Human Resources
  • Responsible passive searches to build our candidate pool
  • Responsible for on-boarding, preparation of workspace and equipment and training plans
  • Coordination of Human Resources administrative processes
  • Maintain information in our HR Software to ensure consistency and integrity of HR data and conduct timely audits
  • Responsible for HR software team member training
  • Create HR-related reports, resources, and communications materials
  • Manage the repository of policies and ensure all are kept up to date
  • Subject matter expert and superuser of HR Software tool
  • Responsible for employee benefits administration, policy management, employee relations

Successful candidates will require:

  • Completion of Business/Administration diploma or degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience in an HR Administrative role
  • Knowledge of Human Resources and Employment Law
  • Experience in payroll is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft O365 products (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, TEAMS, SharePoint etc.)
