Associate Wealth Advisor

The WealthCo Group of Companies (“WealthCo”) is currently looking for an enthusiastic and engaged full time Associate Wealth Advisor to join our growing team and become an exceptional addition to our head office in Calgary, Alberta.

As a registered Associate Wealth Advisor, you will represent WealthCo Asset Management, a discretionary investment management firm known for its innovative pension-style investment solutions. Your focus will be on team culture and growth, you will collaborate closely with peers and external professionals through our membership in the Integrated Advisory Professionals Network; delivering exceptional client experiences and fostering long-term relationships.

You will support the company’s goals through these key accountabilities:

  • Client Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong client and partner relationships, ensuring an exceptional client experience for both existing and prospective clients.

  • Investment Advisory: Guide clients through investment suitability assessments, asset allocation, and portfolio construction discussions.

  • Holistic Wealth Planning: Engage clients in comprehensive wealth planning discussions, working collaboratively with Planning and Risk teams to ensure thorough and updated Wealth Plans.

  • Client Documentation: Maintain detailed notes and documentation for all client-related activities, ensuring operational excellence and accuracy.

  • Client Engagement: Conduct regular client strategy sessions, deliver presentations to prospective clients, and ensure timely and positive client outreach throughout the year.

  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Uphold all compliance and regulatory requirements, ensuring the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

  • Teamwork: Work closely with members of the team and Integrated Advisory Professionals Network to ensure a high level of client care & experience. Proactively coordinate with the administrative teams to identify & prepare required paperwork, etc.

Successful candidates will require:

  • University Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related experience.

  • CIM designation or CFA Level 1

  • Must be able to register as an AAR (Associate Advising Representative) with the AB Securities Commissions.

  • QAFP or CFP considered an asset.

  • 2 years of proven sales experience within the wealth management industry.

  • Availability for travel to partner firms.

  • Proactive – you take the initiative to ask, learn, and make things happen.

  • Ability to handle multiple project and requests, prioritize, and respond quickly and efficiently.

  • Strong client service skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
