Senior Wealth Advisor

The WealthCo Group of Companies (“WealthCo”) is currently looking for an enthusiastic and engaged full time Senior Wealth Advisor to join our growing team and become an exceptional addition to our head office in Calgary, Alberta.

As a registered Senior Wealth Advisor, you will represent WealthCo Asset Management, a discretionary investment management firm known for its innovative pension-style investment solutions. Your focus will be on managing client relationships, contributing to sales and marketing initiatives, and collaborating within a team environment. The position requires extensive interaction with Integrated Advisory partners and the broader investment community. Core responsibilities include meeting with existing and prospective clients to assess their financial needs, making informed portfolio recommendations, reviewing performance, and discussing market developments.

You will support the company’s goals through these key accountabilities:

Compliance and Administration

  • Ensure client funds administration aligns with compliance standards, external custodian requirements, and financial balancing.

  • Complete projects and special assignments by setting priorities, gaining cooperation, solving problems, and adjusting plans as needed.

Client Management

  • Deliver client service excellence by communicating material portfolio changes and their rationale.

  • Develop, strengthen, and maintain client relationships.

  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities and craft client solutions.

  • Expand existing client relationships by cross-selling additional services.

  • Align client portfolios with evolving market conditions and personal needs.

Business Development

  • Deliver impactful presentations to prospective clients.

  • Build the firm’s brand, reputation, and awareness within the market.

  • Drive business development initiatives.

  • Expand the firm's client base and deepen existing relationships.

Client Service Delivery

  • Ensure consistent delivery of an exceptional client experience.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance client service.

  • Support team goal setting and service level reporting.

Financial and Business Performance

  • Maintain client portfolios within established tolerance limits.

  • Identify opportunities to grow assets and increase client revenue.

  • Achieve and exceed financial performance goals.

Successful candidates will require:

  • University Degree (Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance) or equivalent related experience

  • 8-10 years’ proven sales experience within the wealth management industry

  • CFA Level 1 or CIM Designation.

  • Must be able to register as an AAR (Associate Advising Representative) with the AB Securities Commissions

  • CFP or PFP Designation.

  • CPA Designations considered an asset.

  • Availability for travel to partner firms.

  • Proactive – you take the initiative to ask, learn, and make things happen.

  • Ability to handle multiple project and requests, prioritize, and respond quickly and efficiently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
